INFLATION IN STATES
5.22 CPI-C inflation increased in most of the states in the current year. However, regional
variation persists. Inflation ranged between 3.2 per cent to 11 per cent across States/UTs in
2020-21 (Jun-Dec) compared to (-) 0.3 per cent to 7.6 per cent in the same period last year. In 17
States/UTs, overall inflation is below the all-India average in the current year with Delhi having
the lowest inflation, followed by Dadra & Nagar Haveli (Figure 16).
